Walking cemeteries.... Who DOES that? Is a question I get a lot. Mostly from people who have no intrest in history whether it be their own or in general. The other one is the look of absolute horror, when you say that you love cemeteries :-)
Even after explaining WHY I love cemeteries, and why we used to spend time exploring, walking and photographing cemeteries, people still kind of shudder. Some even call you "ghoul" to your face, and those that don't? Well, let's just say, I don't have to be psychic to catch on. ROFL!
Cemeteries are a treasure trove of information for those of us that are trying to piece our family tree together. And with that in mind, I'll put up the pictures of the markers I've found. I have to say in advance. A LOT of information is from Find A Grave, as well as some pictures, but I must have taken several hundred pictures myself, so I wil try and add credits where due, but please forgive me if I miss one or two.
Not sure yet if I'll put the family units together, by surname or cemetery, but I'll post the pictures on this page..... eventually...... in stages :-) I'm not sure how yet, but I'll try and keep this part on top of the page, and the new post below it. If it didn't work....... the longer it takes, you've dug thru a lot of posts to read this :-)
